Which Florida Driver Improvement Course Do I Need?

The 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement course is the most common Florida traffic school. Eligible drivers who complete BDI can reduce traffic ticket fees, withhold adjudication of guilt, and keep points off their driving record. It satisfies most court orders and is also recognized by many Florida insurance carriers for a voluntary insurance discount. Authorized under Florida Statute §318.14(9).
8-Hour Judge Ordered Basic Driver Improvement Course
When a Florida judge specifically orders an 8-hour traffic school, this extended BDI course fulfills that mandate. It cannot be substituted with the standard 4-hour course. Your completion certificate is transmitted electronically to the court and the FLHSMV.
Intermediate Driver Improvement (IDI) — 8 Hour Aggressive Driver Course

Advanced Driver Improvement (ADI) — 12 Hour License Reinstatement Course
